Pocono Raceway is a superspeedway located in the
Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania.
The Mattioli family, owners of the track, have been through some ups and downs while battling to make the triangular racetrack a success.
Pocono Raceway is the site of two annual NASCAR Nextel Cup races held just weeks apart in June and July. Outside of the NASCAR races, Pocono is used throughout the year by sports car and motorcycle clubs as well as racing schools.
The Pocono Mountains are famous for the resorts, natural scenic beauty, 150
lakes including Lake Wallenpaupack, and the quaint, historical towns. Go for a drive and enjoy the beauty.
